mBenki is a joint venture between entrepreneurs in the United States and Zambia.

The Mobile Money Business Association
mBenki Solutions Zambia is a 50-50 joint venture with the Mobile Money Business Association of Zambia (MMoBA), the body that represents the country's mobile money agents.
MMoBA is registered under the Societies Act, Cap 119 of the Laws of Zambia. Its members are the agents who already serve customers in every district — the same people who become mBenki Smart Agents. The partnership means the network is built with the agents' own association, not around it.

The recognised voice of Zambia's mobile money agents to operators, regulators and government.

A member of ZICTA's Consumer Services and Standards Technical Working Group, where agent standards are shaped.
